Its preferable to use a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar. When adjustable, set beater bar to the highest pile setting and set power to low. Vacuum full length of rug, rather than back and forth motion. Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean sponge or cloth. Professional rug cleaning recommended. Please note that due to the handmade nature of our wool rugs, a natural odor may be present when first unrolled. To dissipate any noticeable smell, we recommend letting the rug air out in a breezy space for a few days.
